1 . What is your warranty on Lamps?
Answer:
Most manufacturer's offer a 90-day or 500 hour warranty, whichever comes first. Please call the original manufacturer of the lamp assembly to find out what your warranty is for your lamp. If you are having trouble locating the original manufacturer for your lamp, contact us at 1-800-764-4580, option 1, and we can assist you in finding this out.

2 . Where is the Manufacturer's Part # for my Lamp?
Answer:
Complete IT provides you with the convenience of not needing to know the part # of the lamp you need, instead, you are able to simply search by your projector's manufacturer and then select the model of your projector and the correct lamp will display if available. If you still need to search by the lamp part #, simply enter the part # in our search on the upper right of every page. When you enter the part # to search, a list of available lamps matching the part # that you have entered will be displayed. If you need further assistance, please contact our sales dept at 1-800-764-4580, option 1

3 . How many hours will my projector lamp work?
Answer:
Just like any light bulb you would use for another purpose, projector bulbs have an expected operating time, called lamp life. This value is expressed in number of hours - typically 1000 to 2000 hours. Newer models are claiming 4000 hours of lamp life and more. The lamp's success rate is based on a bell curve, so that a majority of (but not all) lamps will meet the lamp life hours specified. Some lamps will fail sooner and this is part of the acceptable operating range of the rating.
For projectors that are used under normal operating conditions (no more than three to five hours per day in a clean, relatively dust-free environment) the lamp will have the greatest likelihood of lasting through its entire rated lamp life. Projectors that are used more often or are exposed to environmental contaminants are more likely to show a decrease in lamp life. Projectors that are operated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week are at the highest likelihood of lamp failure before the end of the rated hours.
Most manufactures offer a lamp rating, please refer to your owners manual for the information.

4 . How can I preserve my projectors performance?
Answer:
Make sure when turning off your projector that you let it cool down sufficiently before unplugging it. Failure to do so may result in an immediate loss of the lamp. Repeated disregard of the cool-down feature will eventually cause your projector to stop functioning altogether. Some new projector offer an Instant off feature, it's our recommendation to allow the projector to cool for at least 5 minutes prior to moving the projector, and a minimum of 30 minutes if you are replacing the lamp.
We cannot stress enough the importance of keeping the filter clean and openings clear of dust and lint. We offer many replacement AIR FITERS for your projector, they can be Found Here If you don?t see the filter you are looking for just give us a call 1-866-764-4580 and we will happy to help locate it for you.
Make sure the projector has ample "breathing room" with adequate ventilation, so that the unit doesn't overheat, putting extra pressure on the motor and the lamp

5 . What are the common causes of lamp failure?
The most common causes are over heating and over voltage.

Consider power protection for your electronics

6 . What is your Return Policy?
Any and all returns must be authorized by Complete-IT within 30 days from the original invoice date. Any unauthorized return without the RMA number clearly marked on the outside of the package will be refused. Within 30 days of purchase we may offer an exchange or refund of unopened product, however, a 20% restocking fee may apply. Opened product may be returned at our sole discretion for exchange or refund; however such a return will incur a 25% restocking fee. Used product will not be accepted for return or refund, there are no exceptions.

Any product that is defective or dead on arrival may be returned within 30 days from purchase date with no restocking fee.

After the 30 day period has expired the manufacturers warranty process must be followed. Some manufactures will not allow us to handle defective lamp replacements, in such cases, the client must deal directly with the manufacture.

7 . What if my lamp is on backorder?
Due to increasing demand for LCD and DLP replacement lamps, back orders from the manufacturer can be a common occurrence. Rest assured, Complete-It commitment is to be the first to bring in the lamp availability you need. We stock hundreds of the most popular lamps, but we can not stock them all. It is important to place your backorder with us as soon as possible since backorders will be fulfilled in order before they are available to the general public. First come, First serve.

14 . What is a Blu-ray Disc??
The Blu-ray Disc? (BD) is a next-generation optical disc format for storing a large amount of data using a short wavelength blue laser to read and write. Like DVD, there are a number of BD standards, such as read-only BD-ROM, recordable BD-R and rewritable BD-RE.

The single largest feature of BD is its high-density data storage capacity of 25 GB* per layer on one side. This lets you store many hours of content, such as movies with HD resolution and high-quality music with loss-less audio compression. BD also features a high-performance interactive function that uses Java?, called BD-J, to deliver a new video experience to users not offered by conventional video media. Many motion picture and electronics companies, PC and gaming manufacturers expressing their support for BD, have new hardware and software products currently being sold to consumers that are Blu-ray compatible.

NOTE: Java is a trademark of Sun Microsystems

Structure of the BD-Video disc
The Blu-ray Disc? is an optical disc with the same dimensions as the DVD disc: 12 cm in diameter and 1.2 mm in thickness. By using a combination of the 405-nm-wavelength blue-violet laser, which is a shorter wavelength than the red laser used by DVD, and a high-density objective lens with a numerical aperture of 0.85, BD uses a laser beam spot that is only about 1/5 the size used by DVD. Thanks to these technologies, a single-layer BD-Video disc can store five times more data than a DVD disc.

Benefits of the BD-Video disc

One single-layer disc equals five DVDs in data capacity
The BD-Video disc boasts a data storage capacity of 25 GB* in a single layer and 50 GB* in dual layer, because it uses the shorter wavelength blue-violet laser and a high-density objective lens to enable higher-density data reading. When a multi-layer system is adopted in the future, the storage capacity can increase to 100 GB* and even 200 GB*. One BD-Video disc can store a huge amount of data so users can enjoy many hours of high-definition content and high-quality surround sound that could not previously be provided by other media.

* 1GB = 1 billion bytes. Useable capacity will be less.

HD Image quality video
In addition to the MPEG-2 format used by DVD-Video, the BD-Video disc uses video codes, such as MPEG4 AVC and VC-1, which deliver high image quality using high compression rates. The data transfer speed is 48 Mbps, which is about three times faster than DVD. A future plan also calls for a further increase in the data transfer speed. These technologies allow long-time playback of content with high-definition image quality.

High-quality surround sound
The BD-Video disc optionally supports next-generation surround sound formats like Dolby? Digital Plus. Connecting a BD-Video player to an AV center using an HDMI* cable enables linear PCM multi-channel data transfer. This makes it possible to reproduce high-quality 7.1-channel surround sound with each channel offering DVD-Audio quality, delivering a surround sound experience that rivals the quality of

* HDMI Ver. 1.1 and newer.
BD-J for extensive interactive functions
The BD-Video disc is equipped with an extended function based on Java? technology, called BD-J, to provide various interactive features. For example, this can be used to program various operations, such as displaying a pop-up menu while playing a BD-Video disc, and activating a keyword search. With unlimited application possibilities, BD-J offers interactive enjoyment that is simply not possible with conventional AV software.

Extensive support for both hardware and software
The Blu-ray Disc? specifications have been established mainly by leading electronics, PC and gaming manufacturers around the world, including Panasonic. These companies will support BD promotion by introducing a variety of hardware. A number of major motion picture production companies have expressed their support.

Advanced operations
Final standard profile*
The final standard profile ? an advanced function added to BD-ROM Profile 1 Ver.1.1 - creates a range of exciting new entertainment possibilities. It opens the door to new functions such as picture-in-picture (which displays a second image in a sub-window) and audio mixing (which lets you switch the sound between the main and sub-windows).

* Actual functions vary depending on the BD media.

Picture-in-picture
With picture-in-picture, a small sub-window is displayed over the main image. There are four picture-in-picture modes, each offering a distinct function. They include enhanced commentary, backstage pass function, peek behind the animation and audio mixing.

Enhanced commentary*: BD media goes a big step beyond the kind of audio commentary provided in many DVD movies, such as a director discussing the film. Enhanced commentary makes it possible, for example, for the director or actors to appear in the sub-window (as if they are standing in front of the screen) and point to actors or equipment as they make their comments.

* Depending upon program contents.

Backstage pass function*: This lets you access additional information provided about people, places or things in a BD movie. Just use the remote control to select an element highlighted on-screen, and a sub-window opens with the information. For example, there could be notes about the clothing or accessories an actor is wearing or the restaurant in which a scene is set.

* Depending upon program contents.

Peek behind the animation*: While playing back a movie with dubbed-in voices ? for example, a feature-length animation ? this feature lets you watch in a sub-window as the voice actors read their parts. You can see the voice actors' gestures and expressions as they speak, giving you an inside look at a whole facet of moviemaking you've never seen before.

* Depending upon program contents.

Audio mixing: The audio mixing function lets you choose which soundtrack to listen to either the one from the content playing in the main window, the one from the sub-window, or both at the same time.

BD-Live (DMP-BD50)
Download additional content
The future is expected to bring a host of imaginative new features. For example, the DMP-BD50 will be able to connect directly to the Internet and download additional content from websites to an SD memory card for new forms of enjoyment.

Sharing the information with other BD-Live users
In the future, BD-Live will allow users to join in quizzes and challenge each other to interactive games based on bonus movie content. Blu-ray Disc? media will offer many new ways to have fun even after you have finished watching the movie.

* Actual functions vary depending on the Blu-ray Disc title.

One-touch speaker switching*
If you call up the VIERA Link? menu on-screen display and select ?Home theatre?, the home theatre turns on and audio playback switches from the TV speakers to the home theatre speakers. If you turn off the receiver, the audio automatically switches back to the TV speakers.

One-touch volume control*
When the audio is being output from the home theatre, you can adjust the sound volume with the Panasonic flat TV?s remote control. As you operate the sound volume up or down, the home theatre?s sound volume is automatically turned up and down accordingly.

* A Panasonic VIERA Link? HDVI Control compatible home theatre system is required for this function.

Picture and sound
Precise digital video
Combining a reference chroma processor with advanced P4HD imaging technology, Panasonic's original digital consumer electronics integration platform, UniPhier? reproduces crisp, natural colours that are extremely faithful to the original movie. The beautiful images are complemented by an exceptionally pure, accurate sound achieved through audio re-master and their leading-edge sound technologies. UniPhier? reflects the advanced encoding and authoring technologies developed by Panasonic Hollywood Laboratory (PHL) in collaboration with film industry professionals. With UniPhier? at its heart, the DMP-BD30 provides a level of image and sound quality that meets Hollywood's stringent demands ? so you experience movies the way they were meant to be experienced.

* UniPhier is a trademark/a registered trade mark of Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. in Japan and other countries.

PHL reference chroma processor
The PHL reference chroma processor up-samples (4:2:0 to 4:2:2) the colour information in decoded video signals. Using unique Panasonic technology, this innovative circuit faithfully reproduces the fine details and nuances of Blu-ray video streams that have been recorded with high quality image compression system. It generates images with all the clarity and depth that BD-Video movies have to offer.

P4HD (Pixel precision progressive processing)
To get the best HD images from a BD-Video disc, you need a player that renders high-quality progressive images, expresses motion smoothly, and draws sharp diagonal lines. The DMP-BD30?s P4HD processes more than 15 billion pixels per second and applies the optimum processing to every pixel in the video data on the disc. The result is images with exceptional resolution

HDMI? V.1.3 with Deep Colour*
The SC-BT100, DMP-BD30 and BD50 HDMI output is Deep Colour? compatible. While the earlier HDMI? V.1.2 offered 8-bit, 256-step gradation, HDMI? V.1.3 bumps it all the way up to 12-bit, 4,096-step gradation. This helps the DMP-BD30 reproduce natural-looking colours with smooth gradation and minimal colour banding.

* An HDMI? V.1.3 compatible TV is required.

1080/24p playback
The SC-BT100, DMP-BD30 and BD50 provides 1080/24p output which reproduces movie images from a Blu-ray Disc? in their original 24p form without conversion. You see movies in the format used in movie theatres.

Precise digital audio
UniPhier?'s advanced processing capability decodes audio signals (Dolby? Digital and DTS?) with high precision and outputs Dolby? TrueHD and DTS?-HD audio in bitstream form without degradation. It also brings re-mastering to the Blu-ray Disc? for the first time ever.

Audio remaster (all fomats)
The SC-BT100, DMP-BD30 and BD50 audio remaster function compensates for data lost in the compression process used in BD and DVD recording. This helps create a fuller, richer sound that is extremely faithful to the original.

HD Audio codec bitstream output
The SC-BT100, DMP-BD30 and BD50 supports HDMI? V.1.3 specifications, so it can output high bit rate audio signals (Dolby? TrueHD, DTS?-HD) encoded on Blu-ray Discs? in bitstream. If used with compatible AV amp, the resulting audio is studio master quality sound.

Other features

HD networking and SD memory card

Linking with a digital camera
The SC-BT100 and DMP-BD30 can play back JPEG still images on an SD memory card, such as those recorded with a digital camera. The SC-BT100, DMP-BD30 and DMP-BD50 can output the images to 1920 x 1080 resolution ? ideal for a full-HD TV ? and output them via the HDMI terminal*. Using the slideshow playback feature, you can play a music CD at the same time you're showing the photos, so viewers enjoy both beautiful images and your favourite music.

* JPEG and other still image sources converted to 1920 x 1080 resolution, while of high quality, will exhibit somewhat lower subjective image resolution than true, native 1080p full HD sources.

Linking with an HD camcorder
The SC-BT100, DMP-BD30 and DMP-BD50 can play back AVCHD format images shot with an HD camcorder. Images recorded onto the camcorder's SD memory card are output directly from the SC-BT100, DMP-BD30 and DMP-BD50's HDMI terminals in their original, high-quality 1920 x 1080 resolution. The SC-BT100, DMP-BD30 and DMP-BD50 also provide an AVCHD direct navigator function that makes it easy to search for particular scenes.

18 . Optoma Canada Tips to Extend Projector Lamp Life
Lamp life for a projector will vary based on many factors including application, installation, intake of cool air and exhaust of hot air, usage, and proper maintenance. Heat buildup can reduce lamp life and even damage your projector. Here are some tips to help your projector lamps last longer.

1. Once you turn on your projector, wait at least five minutes before turning it off to allow the fan to properly cool the unit. After the fan has cooled your projector, you may unplug it and store it as desired.

2. Do not obstruct the air intake or exhaust vent. Paper should not be placed on top of a projector.

3. Keep the exhaust vent at least two feet from any object.

4. If the projector is built into a compartment, wall, ceiling or shelf mount, the minimum distance requirement (usually at least two feet) stated in your owners manual must be maintained.

5. Clean the projector's air intake filter every three to six months -- or more frequently -- based on your operating environment.

6. Do not move your projector until the lamp has cooled (about five minutes).

7. Run your projector for two weeks and/or 20 hours shortly after your purchase. If the lamp is going to fail, it will usually occur within the first ten hours of operation. Lamp warranties typically last just 90 days from the date of purchase, rather than the first installation.

19 . What is a 2.35 Constant Height Setup?

In basic terms, its the ability to watch 2.35 material in full resolution and with full width just as the director intended. In a constant height setup 2.35 movies take up the whole screen without any black bars above/below.

20 . Panamorph 2.35:1 Q&A
Published on www.panamorph.com

How does the Panamorph anamorphic lens system work? For the best demonstration of how a Panamorph lens system delivers the full impact of major motion pictures into your home, please watch the GET THE PICTURE video on our home page. For maximum impact, please make sure your ?favorites? or ?history? window is closed and go to full screen on your browser (on PCs this can be accomplished by simply hitting your F11 key).

What movies are available in the True Widescreen 2.40:1 / 2.35:1 or greater ratio? A quick check through your current DVD, Blu-ray or HD-DVD collection will probably reveal that the majority of movies you already own are in the 2.35:1 or greater ratio. Simply look on the back cover and you will probably see the ?this movie is in letterbox format ? the black bars at the top and bottom of your screen are normal? along with a ?2.35:1,? ?2.39:1? or ?2.40:1? designation. Almost all of these films will work properly with a Panamorph lens system and compatible scaler / projector. This is also true of many high definition movies on TV, cable or satellite.

What do I need in addition to a Panamorph lens system to make all of this work? Here is what you need to create a True Widescreen image in your home theater:
1. A 16:9 home theater projector
2. The proper scaling mode to create a vertically stretched anamorphic image, either built into the projector itself or in a separate component (most current projectors have this scaling built in, or if necessary a separate scaler can be installed by your Panamorph dealer).
3. A projection screen with the proper aspect ratio (we recommend a 2.40:1 ratio screen)
4. Source material ? in other words, movies shot in the 2.35:1 or greater aspect ratio (over 70% of the top grossing movies of all time). These are available on DVD, Blu-ray, HD-DVD, or high definition TV, cable or satellite.
Will the Panamorph UH480 lens work with ?XYZ? projector? In all likelihood, yes. The Panamorph UH480 lens was designed with a very large aperture so that it would even accommodate projectors with very large lenses or beam spots. Having a large aperture also means that the UH480 will work through the entire zoom range of most projectors, which greatly eases installation concerns. Our AKXPRO Universal Attachment Kits work with the vast majority of home theater projectors on the market.

How does the Panamorph UH480 lens mount to my projector? The easiest way is to use our AKXPro Universal Attachment Kit ("X" refers to a version number), which includes a mounting plate that attaches the UH480 lens to most popular projectors on the market today. This in turn attaches to your projector ceiling mount.*

Here is a list of projectors compatible with our current AK7PRO Mounting Plate:
BenQ 8720, W9000, W10000,W5000, W20000 Epson PowerLite 1080 InFocus IN series InFocus 7205, 7210 InFocus 777

21 . Did you Buy a Optoma Certified Lamp ?
http://www.optomausa.com/warningLamp.asp

There is an increasing amount of counterfeit lamps being sold, and to protect your investment, we recommend using only authentic Optoma lamps in your Optoma projector or display.

Why should I buy authentic Optoma lamps?
• Genuine Optoma lamps have been tested and designed to work specifically in your Optoma projector. Counterfeit lamps could cause damage to electrical components in your projector or display.
• Installing a non-genuine Optoma lamp in an Optoma projector or display will void your projector/display's warranty. Repairs resulting from damage done by the non-certified lamp will not be covered under the limited warranty.
• Counterfeit lamps can also have reduced performance and significantly reduced life expectancy.

Where can I buy authentic Optoma lamps?
• We have Authorized Optoma Dealers nationwide. Please visit our Web site at www.optoma.ca and click on “Where to Buy.”

http://www.optoma.ca/onlineretailers.asp

How do I know if I have a genuine Optoma lamp?
• Pricing can be one of the easiest ways to spot a fake Optoma lamp. If the price is much lower than the price of a genuine Optoma lamp, it most likely is not genuine.
• We have professionals that can help confirm the authenticity of your lamp. Contact Optoma Customer Service at 877-361-2581

22 . Say NO to Copy Lamps
Copy Lamps / Branded Lamps
We do not supply any kind of imitation lamp that uses a different bulb. When you purchase a Manufacture lamp from us, that is what you will receive ! Independent tests have shown that Copy lamps underperform versus the above options and often prove to be a false economy due to their poor build quality, poor lifetime and poor brightness. We do not want to compromise our reputation with you customers
