Complete IT Presentation has been selling Projectors, Plasma's and related A/V products since July 1999. As the internet has become a more popular source for online shopping, regrettably we have seen more and more instances of fraud affecting online shoppers. We have chosen the higher road. We are members in good standing of the Better Business Bureau and our local Chamber of Commerce.
A Price Too Good to be True, It Usually Is.
If you've ever searched for a product on the web, you may have asked yourself, "Why are the stores I know of charging so much more than some of these other stores I've never hear of ?"
Our customers often share these stories with us, so we thought we would share a few with you, in hopes that you don't fall prey to any of these unscrupulous sales tactics.
Goods may be gray market. They may state that the product includes the manufacturer warranty, but not tell you that the warranty is valid only in Europe, Japan, or South America, and NOT in Canada.
If you have called a company and the person answering the phone sounds like Mom, and you hear "Jeff, the phone is for you" faintly in the background. We would not call this a sales tactic, rather a very clear sign this business is not here for you !
You may be asked to buy an expensive extended warranty. In many cases if you do not purchase the warranty, your purchase will be denied. (The product is now out of stock, your card does not go through, etc.)
Included parts may be sold to you separately. Some resellers will open boxes and charge extra for parts that are normally included by the manufacturer. We have heard of power cords, lamps (the original not a spare), filters, etc. being sold this way.
Hidden charges which don't show up until your credit card statement arrives. Unscrupulous resellers will add taxes (even when purchased out of province), insurance (at a much higher cost), and other handling charges not listed on your original invoice. These charges only show up when your credit card statement is sent to you.
Unfair return policies. Be mindful of restocking fees, and rules that do not allow for returns even when the item is not opened, or is damaged.
So how do you protect yourself from online fraud?
Buy from an authorized reseller. If you are at all suspicious, you should be able to contact the manufacturer directly and ask if a company is authorized to sell their products.
Ask for a written quote with the total price. This will help you win an argument with your credit card company more easily, and may deter some fraudsters from proceeding with a scam transaction.

Better Vertical Resolution – Active I/P Conversion
The Active I/P (Interactive/Progressive) Conversion system detects slow movements more precisely by increasing the range for detecting moving-picture and still-picture pixels. This reduces I/P conversion noise that often occurs when reproducing tiny movement, thereby producing crisper images while raising the vertical resolution in interlaced images.

This technology dramatically reduces MPD (Motion Picture Disturbance) noise to deliver crisp, clean moving images. Using a Panasonic original algorithm, it detects motion patterns that tend to generate noise and makes the necessary adjustments to maximize image quality. And, it does this without diminishing the quality of stationary objects, such as those in the background.
Deep Black Filter - Even Higher Bright-Area Contrast
The front protective glass of the plasma display panel incorporates a Deep Black Filter that suppresses light transmittance and slashes the amount of external light reflected. This helps our displays achieve the industry's highest level of contrast when viewed in bright surroundings.

HDTV Monitor*
Panasonic plasma displays let you take advantage of the superior picture quality available from today’s most advanced media. You can connect component video (Y, PB, PR) inputs to the unit and view digital TV broadcasts in either HDTV (1080i or 720p), EDTV (480p) or SDTV (480i) formats. Some models fully reproduce high-definition pictures from 720p HDTV signals, while others display every signal in the EDTV format.
* In order to view DTV programming, the plasma display must be connected to a separate DTV digital receiver.
High Contrast Images with a High
S/N Ratio – Adaptive AGC
Our previous automatic gain control (AGC) detected the brightness level of
the entire image, then boosted it as necessary. This had a drawback, in that it tended to increase noise and black-out parts of the image where the video signal did not require boosting. Adaptive AGC raises contrast while suppressing noise by detecting and boosting only the image edges.
MACH Enhancer
The MACH Enhancer is an original Panasonic contour-emphasis signal processing technology. Drawing on the MACH effect, this technology enhances an object’s contours in a way that best suits the way the human eye perceives objects.
Multi-Function Slots
In addition to the fixed input interface, the Panasonic Plasma Display has three interchangeable slots that let you add different combinations of optional terminal boards.

New MACH Panel with Bounded Cell
Structure - 15% Brighter Images
The New MACH (Multi-facet Asymmetrical Configuration Hyper-pixel) Panel features a bounded cell structure in which wall-like ribs are used to wrap each individual cell. By increasing the area in which the phosphor can be applied, this dramatically improves both light-emitting efficiency and intensity. Furthermore, improvements to the drive circuit and plasma gas inside the panel have enabled Panasonic to boost peak brightness, while actually lowering power consumption compared with our previous models. As a result, peak brightness is boosted by 15% compared with previous models.
The new panel structure boasts a long service life of 60,000 hours*. A newly developed phosphor also raises the plasma display's resistance to static-image screen burning to the same level as CRT displays.
* The time until panel brightness is reduced to half its initial level. The service life given above is intended as a guideline when displaying standard moving images. However, this time varies depending on the content of the images displayed and the usage environment.
Advanced Real Gamma System - 2,048 Shades of Gradation in Dark Scenes
In scenes with low brightness levels, the New Super Real Gamma System reproduces gradation in steps equivalent to 2,048 shades. In other words, this original, non-linear signal processing system provides superior performance at brightness levels where the human eye sees best. As a result, it adds subtle nuances to darker scenes and gives images greater depth.
Quiet Operation
We increased the panel’s heat radiation efficiency, eliminating the need for a fan – and eliminating fan noise. This "silence engineering" gives you the kind of quiet operation that makes for a more pleasant viewing experience.
Real Black Drive System - Stunning 4000:1 Dark-Area Contrast
Panasonic’s original real Black Drive System delivers a significant improvement in black reproduction. Conventional plasma displays tend to illuminate blacks, which lowers the contrast. In Panasonic plasma displays, however, the pre-discharge emission intensity is greatly reduced, and the number of emissions per field is cut from the usual 12 to 1. This dramatically reduces black levels and provides deeper, richer blacks. It also achieves the industry’s highest contrast, with a 3000:1 contrast ratio (up to 4000:1 for the TH-37/42PWD8UK).
RS232C Control
Operation can be controlled by a personal computer via the plasma display’s built-in RS232C interface. This serial interface makes it possible to control a variety of sources as a single system.
UXGA Compatible
To assure compatibility with various PC display modes including VGA, SVGA, XGA, SXGA and UXGA, Panasonic plasma display automatically switches the scanning frequency to match the input signal. It offers a horizontal scanning rate of 15.6 kHz up to a very high 110 kHz, and a vertical scanning rate of 48 Hz to 120 Hz. Some models feature ultra-high resolution and can display VGA, SVGA, and XGA as well as down-converted SXGA and UXGA modes, while other models display all modes in VGA format.
