As the internet has become a more popular source for online shopping, regrettably we have seen more and more instances of fraud affecting online shoppers. We have chosen the higher road. We are members in good standing of the Better Business Bureau and our local Chamber of Commerce.
A Price Too Good to be True, It Usually Is.
If you've ever searched for a product on the web, you may have asked yourself, "Why are the stores I know of charging so much more than some of these other stores I've never hear of ?"
Our customers often share these stories with us, so we thought we would share a few with you, in hopes that you don't fall prey to any of these unscrupulous sales tactics.
Goods may be gray market. They may state that the product includes the manufacturer warranty, but not tell you that the warranty is valid only in Europe, Japan, or South America, and NOT in Canada.
If you have called a company and the person answering the phone sounds like Mom, and you hear "Jeff, the phone is for you" faintly in the background. We would not call this a sales tactic, rather a very clear sign this business is not here for you !
You may be asked to buy an expensive extended warranty. In many cases if you do not purchase the warranty, your purchase will be denied. (The product is now out of stock, your card does not go through, etc.)
Included parts may be sold to you separately. Some resellers will open boxes and charge extra for parts that are normally included by the manufacturer. We have heard of power cords, lamps (the original not a spare), filters, etc. being sold this way.
Hidden charges which don't show up until your credit card statement arrives. Unscrupulous resellers will add taxes (even when purchased out of province), insurance (at a much higher cost), and other handling charges not listed on your original invoice. These charges only show up when your credit card statement is sent to you.
Unfair return policies. Be mindful of restocking fees, and rules that do not allow for returns even when the item is not opened, or is damaged.
So how do you protect yourself from online fraud?
Buy from an authorized reseller. If you are at all suspicious, you should be able to contact the manufacturer directly and ask if a company is authorized to sell their products.
Ask for a written quote with the total price. This will help you win an argument with your credit card company more easily, and may deter some fraudsters from proceeding with a scam transaction.

Even in a classroom or office with high levels of ambient light, your audience will be sure to see every brilliant detail of your presentation. You can even use your LV-7260 to present in front of large audiences in conference and boardroom environments.
And you'll be able to use that brightness longer, thanks to a Long Life Lamp which delivers up to 3000 hours of use in Quiet Mode.

The LV-7260 offers native XGA (1024x768) resolution for your images, making it a perfect match for your laptop computer. In addition, the LV-7260 supports both UXGA and SXGA resolution through high-quality compression.
Canon Optical Performance
Superior clarity and colour are the hallmarks of Genuine Canon projection lenses. And now with a 1.6x Zoom, the new LV-7260 is perfect for small rooms, allowing you to project bigger images from shorter distances. The LV-7260's short throw distance means you can project that crisp image on a 100" screen that's as close as 9'6" away from the projector.
The LV-7260 also features five automatic image modes:
Presentation ? Ideal for presentations using PowerPoint

The LV-7260 features enhanced Wall Colour Correction, allowing you to project onto non-white surfaces such as a chalkboard or wall. Select from several wall colour options including greenboard, greenboard grey, light yellow, light green, light blue, sky blue, light rose and pink for quick adaptive colour correction. The image you project will be closer in appearance to how it would look when projected on a white background.
Easy To Use Flexibility
Weighing in at only 6.6 lbs. (3 kg) and measuring only 12.2"w x 10.4"d x 4.3"h (310mm x 265mm x 109mm), the LV-7260 is both lightweight and versatile, making it a preferred choice for those on the go.
Once at your destination, the LV-7260 gives you further flexibility by adapting to the environment. Adjust and correct for keystone distortion -- up to +/- 30 degrees vertically with simple controls.
The LV-7260 can operate as a front- or rear-screen projector and can be mounted on the ceiling.
For enhanced Wall Colour Correction, the greenboard mode lets you project onto non-white surfaces, such as a chalkboard. Select from eight different wall colour options for quick adaptive colour correction, making the projected images closer in appearance to how they would look when projected on a white background.
Naturally, your LV-7260 does all this while still running at a low 34dB in Normal Mode and 29dB in Quiet Mode. It also boasts Quick Start and Quick Cooling, starting up in about eight seconds and cooling down within 30 seconds. The Automatic Power Off Timer gives you eight selectable presets with timing between 30 minutes and 16 hours.
During your presentation, you'll also be able to stay focused thanks to the LV-7260's Wireless IR Remote Control, intuitive on-screen menus and user-friendly control panel.
The newly-designed wireless remote gives you control over a range of functions, including:
