Complete IT Presentation has been selling Projectors, Plasma's and related A/V products since July 1999. As the internet has become a more popular source for online shopping, regrettably we have seen more and more instances of fraud affecting online shoppers. We have chosen the higher road. We are members in good standing of the Better Business Bureau and our local Chamber of Commerce.
A Price Too Good to be True, It Usually Is.
If you've ever searched for a product on the web, you may have asked yourself, "Why are the stores I know of charging so much more than some of these other stores I've never hear of ?"
Our customers often share these stories with us, so we thought we would share a few with you, in hopes that you don't fall prey to any of these unscrupulous sales tactics.
Goods may be gray market. They may state that the product includes the manufacturer warranty, but not tell you that the warranty is valid only in Europe, Japan, or South America, and NOT in Canada.
If you have called a company and the person answering the phone sounds like Mom, and you hear "Jeff, the phone is for you" faintly in the background. We would not call this a sales tactic, rather a very clear sign this business is not here for you !
You may be asked to buy an expensive extended warranty. In many cases if you do not purchase the warranty, your purchase will be denied. (The product is now out of stock, your card does not go through, etc.)
Included parts may be sold to you separately. Some resellers will open boxes and charge extra for parts that are normally included by the manufacturer. We have heard of power cords, lamps (the original not a spare), filters, etc. being sold this way.
Hidden charges which don't show up until your credit card statement arrives. Unscrupulous resellers will add taxes (even when purchased out of province), insurance (at a much higher cost), and other handling charges not listed on your original invoice. These charges only show up when your credit card statement is sent to you.
Unfair return policies. Be mindful of restocking fees, and rules that do not allow for returns even when the item is not opened, or is damaged.
So how do you protect yourself from online fraud?
Buy from an authorized reseller. If you are at all suspicious, you should be able to contact the manufacturer directly and ask if a company is authorized to sell their products.
Ask for a written quote with the total price. This will help you win an argument with your credit card company more easily, and may deter some fraudsters from proceeding with a scam transaction.

Hit the Ground Running
The ML300 is designed to let users project quickly and easily, with or without a computer. A built-in viewer for Microsoft Office delivers PC-free projection of Microsoft Office documents, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. from onboard memory, an SD card or a USB flash drive. ML300 incorporates the latest software and processing for faster opening and viewing of documents. In addition, an audio out jack supports the use of headphones.
An HDMI connector lets the projector connect readily to the broadest possible range of devices, including laptop computers, tablets, smart phones, Blu-ray players and gaming systems. Auto Keystone automatically optimizes the image shape for non-standard projection setups, while Instant On/Off minimizes time to projection.
User controls and media navigation are provided through an innovative on-screen menu that requires fewer steps to access the desired function and provides support in 16 languages. The ML300 is 3D capable, delivering XGA resolution 120HZ thru the VGA port (the equivalent of 3D-PC). The projector can deliver a 50-inch 3D image with plenty of brightness
Single Source for Power, Efficiency and Durability
The Optoma ML300 provides a compact design and vivid LED performance. This highly-portable DLP projector allows users to share detailed presentations (with 3000:1 contrast ratio) without being hooked up to a computer.
Weighing in at less than 1.4 lbs. and measuring a compact 7.2” x 1.8” x 4.4”, the ML300 supports a variety of video signals, including HDTV (up to 1080p) NTSC, and PAL. Computer compatibility includes resolutions up to WXGA (1280 x 800) through VGA and HD (1920 x 1080) through HDMI. A two-Watt speaker provides audio output.
A combination of VGA and HDMI inputs also allows users to readily connect to laptops, Blu-ray players, tablets including iPads and game systems to display content. The media player is compatible with video file formats including H.264 (AVI, MOV, MP4 and 3GP), MPEG4 (AVI), Xvid (AVI), M-JPEG (AVI) and image file formats JPEG and BMP. The media player even plays back audio files such as MP3 and AAC. A microSD card slot for the ML300 allows for memory expansion up to 32GB. LED Design Advantage
The ML300’s LED technology delivers low power and silent operation. The same LED technology provides vivid color, durability and long life that make it attractive to price-sensitive small business and consumer users. LED brightness lets users create larger images in rooms with more ambient light while still allowing for easy viewing. Featuring a wider color pallet, LED projector images appear to be brighter than lamp based projector images.
The LED light source has an estimated lifetime of more than 20,000 hours (equivalent to using the projector four hours every day for over thirteen years). LED is incredibly cost effective compared to lamp-based projectors. For example, users with a lamp-based projector would have to replace the lamp in the projector at least four times over 20,000 hours of usage—at a cost of over $800, compared to the completely maintenance-free LED lamp.
